This privacy policy will apply to Peter Lightfoot Graf-X Pty Ltd which is required by law to have a privacy policy.
This privacy policy and updated versions of it will be published on the Graf-X website at www.graf-x.com.au.
A reference to ‘we’ or ‘us’ in this privacy policy means Graf-X / WebGraf-X and a reference to ‘you’ means an individual person protected by the provisions of the Privacy Act 1988.
This policy outlines how we collect, use and protect the personal information that you provide to us.
We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the “Act”) and our employees and officers are expected to comply with this privacy policy.
This policy is based on the following principles:

3. Why collect and hold personal information?

The kinds of personal information we collect and hold may include contact information such as your name, email and physical address and phone number, information relating to transactions with us and other information we consider necessary to provide services or assess job opportunities. If you apply for a job with us, we will use your personal information for the recruitment processes or future job opportunities.

If we undertake direct marketing activities, we will only use or disclose your personal information in accordance with Australian Privacy Principle 7.

We will take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information that we collect or use is accurate, up to date and complete.

If we no longer need your personal information and we are allowed to do so by law, then we may destroy the information or make sure that it is can no longer identify you.

You can request us to deal with us either anonymously or by means of a pseudonym. We will generally accommodate the request where it is lawful and practicable to do so.
9. Access to your personal information
You may ask us for access to your personal information. Please direct any requests for access to your personal information to Administration via our website at www.graf-x.com.au. We will provide access to your personal information in accordance with Australia Privacy Principle 12 of the Act.
We may charge you a reasonable fee for giving access to your personal information that we hold but we won’t charge you just for making the request.
10. Correction of personal information
We will take reasonable steps to correct your personal information if we believe it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading or if you ask us to correct it.
If we correct your personal information that we disclosed to someone else and you ask us to notify them of the correction, we will take reasonable steps to give that notification unless it is not practicable or the law requires us not to.
If we don’t correct your personal information, we will give you a written notice setting out:
- why it hasn’t been corrected, unless it would be unreasonable to do so; and
- how you may make a compliant should you wish to do so; and
- anything else we have to tell you by law.
If we don’t correct your personal information then you may ask us to put a statement with your information stating that it may be inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. If you ask us to do this, we will take reasonable steps to put the statement with your information.
If you ask us to correct your personal information or to put a statement with it, we will respond to your request within a reasonable time. We won’t charge you a fee for making of request, for correcting your personal information or for putting a statement with your information.
11. Overseas disclosure of personal information
We may, in some limited circumstances disclose your personal information to third parties overseas, such cloud based services. If we use a cloud-based service to store and process personal information, such a service may use a server hosted overseas to sort data including your personal information.
Before we disclose your personal information to someone overseas we will take reasonable steps to ensure that they don’t breach the Australian Privacy Principles in relation to your personal information.
Please note however, that this won’t apply when you consent to us disclosing your personal information in that way or if we are allowed or required by law to make an overseas disclosure of your personal information.
